Starting with Field Trip #5, all Field Trips will have a specific “goal.”  A goal consists of picking one project, such as a charity, grant or donation for a specific organization of the Field Tripper’s choice.  The decision is made by a majority vote, which comes from Field Trippers.

There are typically five nominations for a goal, presented by PRS.  PRS will usually look for exceptional organizations, individuals or charities who are providing an exceptional service to the community.  The set goal amount to be donated or given is determined ahead of time by PRS.  It is then presented to the Field Trippers, who will have the opportunity to vote on the goal before the actual Field Trip event starts.  The recipient(s) of the goal will usually be announced at the event.

Field Trip goals were organized in order to give back to outstanding individuals/organizations who are making a positive difference in the community, whether it’s local or the world at large.  Although the donation/grant typically runs between $500 – $1,000, it’s still a contribution that will go a long way.

Please check back sometime in June for more details, which will include news on how people can nominate organizations/individuals who they believe should be considered.  Additionally, also feel free to check back after Field Trip #5 to read more about the recipient(s) who received the award from the Field Trippers of Field Trip #5.
