PRS FIELD TRIPS IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE ‘PRS FIELD TRIP 14: SAN FRANCISCO,’ TO BE HELD MARCH 30 – APRIL 1, 2012

This will be the first PRS Field Trip held on the west coast in nearly three years!

PRS will be offering a slew of new changes to the structure in order to make for a more fluid, educational and entertaining experience!

State College, Pa. – The PRS fans have demanded it, and at long last PRS FIELD TRIPS will be coming to the west coast.  PRS FIELD TRIP 14: SAN FRANCISCO will take place March 30^th – April 1^st, 2012.  The trip will take advantage of the local atmosphere and haunted legends in a way that has never been done before for a field trip!

USS HORNETT – Field Trippers will file in to the historically haunted USS Hornett, a retired aircraft carrier, for the bulk of Friday’s events.  Field Trippers will have dinner in the ship’s cafeteria, in a style similar to crew life.  Then, the trippers will be divided in to two teams.  The teams will be sectioned off to various parts of the ship that are notoriously known for being haunted.  While one team investigates, the other team will be in a closed quarters to hear about some of the most disturbing oceanic hauntings involving ships out sea.  Others will have an opportunity to participate in a séance in the captain’s quarters, a closed off section with no light and deep in the ship!

SPENDING THE NIGHT ON THE USS HORNETT – For those wanting a little more supernatural action, Field Trippers will be able to actually spend the night on the ship itself in the bunkers (pillows, blankets/sleeping bags not supplied).

LECTURE EVENTS – PRS’ Chris Edwards will give an interactive and chilling lecture on Alcatraz, from the history of ‘the rock’ to its haunted activity.  This will be a great precursor to those planning to visit Alcatraz with PRS members Sunday morning!

Surprise celebrity guest speakers will also join the lineup on Saturday, giving field trippers new experiences and new faces to meet!

VIP PRE-EVENT KICKOFF PARTY – PRS will be hosting a themed party Thursday night, which will be planned and organized in part by PRS Field Trip alumni.  Field Trippers will get to have input on the theme and setting of the party in order to make it a great event to remember!

MORE EVENTS SUCH AS GHOST TOURS & GHOST HUNTS – New workshops will be added on Saturday, including a panel discussion.  On Saturday evening, a local ghost hunt and ghost tour will also be added for those who want a bit more supernatural action!

TICKET OPTIONS:

There are three ticket options for those wanting to attend FIELD TRIP 14:

#1) STANDARD TICKET ($250.00): The standard includes access to all events except EE events nor does it include overnight stay on the USS Hornett (you will still be able to investigate).  Dinner on Friday at the USS Hornett is covered.  Ticket to the VIP Pre-Event Kick-Off Party will have a separate, reduced rate in order to raise money for the party itself.  Also do not include ticket to Alcatraz tour.

#2) STANDARD W/ OVERNIGHT EXPERIENCE TICKET ($300.00): Includes everything on the Standard Ticket, PLUS an overnight stay on the USS Hornett.  Includes breakfast Saturday morning.

#3) EXTENDED EXPERIENCE TICKET ($525.00): Includes everything from STANDARD TICKET and STANDARD W/ OVERNIGHT EXPERIENCE TICKET.  Also includes free access to VIP Pre-Event Party and free ticket to Alcatraz tour on Sunday.  Like all EE events, EE ticket holders get an extra full day with PRS members in a more intimate level (as EE tickets have a limited number of availability).  Also includes guaranteed access to Eilfie’s USS HORNETT séance, priority sign-up for events, and priority registration.  Also includes a Friday meet-and-greet brunch with PRS.

Join PRS founder and director Ryan Buell, and members Sergey Poberezhny, Katrina Weidman, Eilfie Music, Josh Light, and Michelle Belanger in this historic southern city for lectures, ghost hunts and more. PRS Field Trips will also be featuring local guest lecturers to provide you with a deeper look into the culture of this amazing city.  Whether you’re a fan of PRS or a paranormal investigator, the weekend-long event is filled with academia, entertainment and thrills for everyone.  Attendees will get to go through some of the darker spots of New Orleans, learn about its rich occult history as well as conduct real ghost hunts.

Interact with cast members during our welcome party on Friday afternoon,and mingle with other fans of the show like yourself!  Grab your very own photo with members of the cast. Then, enjoy a welcome lecture by one of our guest speakers, followed by a talk by Ryan Buell. Friday evening will begin with dinner and a masquerade ball at the beautiful Musee Conti Historical Wax Museum. Following the ball, some of you will head out for beginner ghost hunts, or to private auctioned hunts with members of the cast.

Day 2 of the event kicks off with workshops by members of the cast.  After the lecture, gather for the traditional group photo, then head out relax and enjoy dinner. Once
you’ve eaten, head over to Reverend Zombie’s Voodoo Shop to meet your tour guide for a haunted tour of the French Quarter.

On Sunday, auction winners will enjoy brunch with cast members. At 12:30, join the cast and fellow field trippers for the farewell party, and one last chance to grab that photo or autograph you’ve been waiting for all weekend.

The penitentiary, which once housed some of the most dangerous criminals and murders in the country, will be the setting of a 2 1/2 day paranormal event, where fans and enthusiasts will get together to attend a variety of workshops, lectures, socials and, of course, to experience the prison’s dark side.  The penitentiary also served as the location for one of the most talked about investigations/episodes of “Paranormal State.”  We’re talking, of course, about the 1-hour episode “Darkness Falls,” which featured the PRS crew investigating the infamous penitentiary, where six months prior PRS Director Ryan Buell claimed he had an experience there that shook him.

Attendees will get a tour of the prison, attend new workshops/lectures, and of course, get to investigate the prison in a whole new way.

“We’re going to allow some attendees to go through what we did during our investigations during ‘Darkness Falls,’” says Buell.  “In other words, some will get to sit up in the psych ward alone in a room for a bit to see if they can stand the isolation.”  A full tech headquarters will be set up so people can watch real-time investigations.

“In the past, we would just do an investigation for fun,” said Buell.  “But this time, we want everyone to help collaborate with us to conduct a 2-3 day investigation to help add to our file.”

This will be the third PRS/AGH team up for a field trip.  Both Buell and AGH leader Chad Calek agree that this is going to be the biggest experience of the year.

On top of that, Buell hopes to unveil an extended edition of the “Darkness Falls” episode, as well as hopefully offer fans a sneak peek of Season Five.  “A&E has always been great and supportive of exciting the core fan base.  I think we’ll be able to do something really special there.”

All tickets for Gettysburg sold out a month-and-a-half before the event starts!  It seems that people are really excited for this one.  Normally capped at 150 tickets per event, PRS FIELD TRIPS rapidly sold out and had a flood of demand for additional tickets.  Another 25 were issued and sold out less than a week later.

Unfortunately at this time, PRS FIELD TRIPS has to end sales due to limited space restrictions.  However, the team at PRS FIELD TRIPS is actively looking to see if it can fit more people.  If you are interested in attending FIELD TRIP: GETTYSBURG, feel free to contact the event staff at events@parafieldtrip.com and they will put you on a stand-by list in case anyone gives up their ticket or if more tickets come available!

In the meantime, don’t forget about FIELD TRIP 8: HOTEL CONNEAUT which happens June 6-8th, 2010.  Hotel Conneaut is considered one of the most haunted locations ever investigated by PRS.  The gang plans to return for three days of investigations, lectures, experiments, bonfire discussions, haunted boat rides and more!  Check it out here.

Sleep at the hotel.  Field Trippers will be able to check in to the hotel and stay there over the entire Field Trip period, therefore allowing oneself to be open to experiencing the hotel’s wide variety of claims 24/7.

Attend the amusement park. Do some group-bonding exercises and just have fun at the amusement park that is on-site.  Yes, there is an amusement park that runs around the Hotel Conneaut property!  (Amusement park will only be open on the first day of the trip – Sunday).

Bonfire Discussions.  Sit with Ryan and Eilfie from PRS as they have a discussion with a small, select group of people.  Other guest speakers will also hold bonfire discussions.

Thought-Form Experiment.  Attend lectures and hands-on workshops regarding the thought-form phenomena (as discussed on the episode).  Can people really create a ghost?  Guest-experts on thought-forms will hold thought-provoking lectures.  Some Field Trippers will also get to participate in a three-day thought-form experiment.

Haunted Boat Ride.  Go on a haunted boat ride and hear the legends of Hotel Conneaut and Conneaut Lake in detail prior to your ghost hunt.

Ghost hunt. Field Trippers will get to investigate some of the most haunted spots of the sprawling mansion.

Much more.  As always, there are a ton of exciting guests and events that are added when the full itinerary goes up.  For those who’ve attended an event before, this will be completely different from all the others.  For newcomers, there’s no better time to hop on and experience a PRS Field Trip for yourself!

This field trip will allow attendees to tour some of the battlefield sites with PRS, investigate some of the most famous haunts (including the Tillie Pierce House, as seen on “Paranormal State” season three), attend a dinner and Q&A with the PS cast, participate in a Dead Time seance, sit in on circle discussions and more.

As a special bonus,  field trippers have two unique things to look forward to: The world-famous Warrens Haunted Museum will be on display, hosted by Lorraine Warren.  Attendees will get to hear stories and see some of the most dangerous and haunted artifacts ever collected from hauntings.  Also, field trippers interested in historical research will get to go on a hands-on workshop with Eilfie Music to learn how to conduct historical investigations.

The event, held at the historically haunted Stanley Hotel (in Estes Park, CO) will take place October 23 – 25th, 2009.  Aside from workshops and other events, attendees will get to attend a Masquerade Ball as well as catch a special screening for the upcoming film, “American Ghost Hunter.”

PRS, in partnership with AGH, are pleased to announce that FIELD TRIP #6 will take place at the world-famous STANLEY HOTEL in Estes Park, Colorado, October 23 – 25th, 2009.

The entire cast of “Paranormal State” and the AGH Crew will be in attendance, as well as several special guests (To Be Announced).  Special presentations include a sneak-preview of the upcoming film, “American Ghost Hunter,” as well as a Halloween Ball.  There will also be a slew of other unique presentations/events that you won’t find anywhere else.  There will also be several opportunities to investigate some of the more famous “haunts” of the Stanley Hotel.

About the Stanley: Legendary writer Stephen King was inspired to write, “The Shining” while staying at the Stanley Hotel.  For decades, paranormal enthusiasts have traveled to Estes Park to stay at the large mansion in hopes of documenting paranormal activity.  AGH Founder Chad Calek had the opportunity to investigate the Stanley on several occasions and he has gathered numerous amounts of paranormal evidence.

Tickets are $250.00 a person.  It includes all lectures and events, an opportunity to attend workshops, ghost hunts.  It also includes dinners for Friday and Saturday night.  One of which will be a dinner theatre.

The all-star lineup includes the cast of “Paranormal State,” Chad Calek, Lorraine Warren, Chip Coffey, Michelle Belanger and AGHer Mary Beth.

Warren, 82, is one of the last remaining pioneers of the paranormal alive.  She has appeared several times on “Paranormal State,” as well as numerous television programs.

Field Trip #5: DEAD & BREAKFAST will be held August 7 – 9th, 2009 at the Thomas House, Tennessee.  Tickets are planned to go on sale at 11:01pm, Monday, May 18th.
