PRS FIELD TRIPS were inspired by real-life field trips that the PRS group used to hold in college for its members. The group would travel to a location (like Gettysburg or New Orleans) to learn about the culture, the myths and phenomenon. And of course, along the way they would have fun. Now, PRS FIELD TRIPS are a public event where fans and paranormal enthusiasts from around the world can come together with PRS to explore some of the most famous claims of paranormal phenomenon out there. From a haunted bar to a ranch where UFOs are sighted daily, PRS FIELD TRIPS allows attendees to embark on an incredible journey in to the unknown.
So, what’s so unique about PRS FIELD TRIPS? “We offer a diverse amount of activities and events so enthusiasts can explore the paranormal to their fullest potential,” says PRS founder Ryan Buell. “But we also offer a great balance between the serious paranormal stuff with just having fun.”
Typically, attendees meet with the PRS crew at the start of the event, followed by formal and informal workshops and lectures. For the UFO Ranch event (Field Trip #4), attendees will be treated to camp-circles where discussions will be had around a fire. Night time is usually reserved for paranormal investigations. If you’re a fan of “Paranormal State,” you’ll be excited to find that you’ll be investigating the haunts alongside Ryan and the PRS gang (and special guests such as Chad Calek, Chip Coffey, Michelle Belanger, etc.).
At events, attendees are treated to a diverse lineup of presentations. From Chip Coffey giving a workshop on psychic ability, Ryan discussing the methods of investigation to Michelle Belanger offering a meditation seminar, there is something unique for everyone.
The Field Trip events typically cover other activities, such as a dinner (some events, like Field Trip #4 cover ALL meals), dinner theatre (Field Trip #5), special screenings, complimentary souvenirs and more.
So what about the social aspect of PRS FIELD TRIPS? “A lot of people come here alone and a little nervous, and they leave with six or a dozen close friends,” says Buell. “Our events are drama-free and just about having a good time with like-minded people. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned investigator or simply an enthusiast. We all come together for a weekend of fun.”
Attendees will find that the PRS crew are very laid-back and approachable. They make themselves available for photographs, questions or short-yet-fun conversations. Attendees who attend trips will sometimes find Heather Taddy playing with her band, Ryan retelling some of his most intense investigations, Sergey taking photographs, Eilfie talking about various paranormal subjects, etc.
PRS will throw 4-5 Field Trips a year. PRS FIELD TRIPS also try to keep attendance manageable. Usually, attendance ranges from 100 – 150 people. No more.
Feel free to visit the PRS FIELD TRIP website to learn about each upcoming Field Trip. Don’t forget to read the blog, where postings of photo journals, testimonies and stories from previous events can be viewed.
The bottom line, PRS FIELD TRIPS already have a loyal fanbase (dubbed “Field Trippers”) of people who return regularly to learn about the paranormal and reunite with their new friends. Once you attend your first Field Trip event, you become part of the Field Trip family!
